PROPOSAL MANAGER’S TEMPLATE PACKAGE
After you have made the decision to pursue an opportunity, the bid and proposal process officially kicks off. To help proposal managers through this process, we offer this template package which contains the necessary tools to effectively manage a proposal effort. Save time and money with our easy-to-use management templates, including:
Proposal Manager Checklist – Every Proposal Manager needs a road map to guide them through the process. We’ve created a list of major actions for each of the 5 proposal phases (Go/No-Go, Kick-off, Proposal Creation, Review and Finalizing/Submission). Don’t miss a step with this easy-to-follow checklist which aligns with the other management templates in this package.
Requirements Summary Breakdown – This template acts as your compliance matrix where you can list each of the requirements from the RFP and map them to each section and subsection of the proposal. This tool is critical in verifying requirements have been addressed in your proposal prior to submission. It also has the ability to assign authors and a maximum page limit to each subsection.
Kick-off Brief – This is a fully templated brief that can be used for the kick-off delivery to your team. Included is everything your team needs to know to get up to speed and be able to properly support the proposal effort. From management structure to execution schedule to competitive analyses, this can be tailored to include only the information that is important to your team and relevant to the RFP. Use this fully formatted template for your kick-off brief and don’t waste time creating a brief from scratch.
Proposal Document – We’ve created a generic document that outlines the typical sections normally found in a services proposal. We don’t provide canned language to fill in the blanks – that only results in a below average proposal that doesn’t incorporate any of your specific win themes. Instead, we’ve given some specific guidance and pointers in each section on the type of content that should be created to develop a compelling, winning proposal.
Cost Tables (FFP, Services) – Determining your overall cost, especially for a fixed price contract, can be difficult. We’ve created a cost table template specifically for Firm Fixed Price (FFP) services contracts. Included are standard costs that would be associated with a typical contract, with an ability to add additional costs depending on the needs of your firm and the contract. At the very least, we have provided the basic structure of the cost tables saving you valuable time creating an integrated tool that captures the necessary costs by contract line item (CLIN).
